What should I bring?
- Food and drinks for you and your group. Remembering it’s only for a day, not food for a week. And Polarized sunglasses are a must for cutting the glare on the water so you can actually see the fish.
Do I need a jacket?
- You can never go wrong bringing a light weight jacket. Some find the wind while running refreshing and others find it chilling. In the winter time a jacket or sweatshirt is necessary as well as a scarf for your face.
Can I keep fish for dinner?
- We practice catch and release to ensure the future of fishing.
Should I bring a camera?
- Yes, a camera is a good idea because there are many photo opportunities through out the day.
Can I mount my fish?
- Yes, even with catch and release fish mounts are available through your captain. They are an awesome way to remember your day on the water.
Can I bring my favorite fishing rod?
- Usually yes, however, some tackle is not suitable for the fishing you have planned so you’re best to ask your captain once your trip is booked.
Should I tip the captain?
- Yes, a 15-25% gratuity is customary for a good day on the water.
What if it rains?
- “Liquid Sunshine” showers are possible in the tropics but usually pass through quickly. Rain gear is provided.
Where’s the bathroom?
- There is no bathroom on a flats skiff; however, we are usually no more than 15 minutes from facilities if necessary.
